Shake- Otis Redding; shake (…)!

I’ve had this idea in my head from the first time i fully listened to this album. I want to produce/direct an entire dance show in accordance with Sufjan’s Come On Feel the Illinoise!. It would mix styles/genres of dance (ie: Decatur would be more of a partner folk dance where Chicago would be this really epic large group contemporary piece and The Predatory Wasp would be a really elegant ballet duo idfk) , and ideally be really bright (oranges, yellows, kelly greens) and summery! I also think it would be amazing to do one to Greetings from Michigan, but it would be, in obvious contrast, darker/colder and in the winter (haha). Once I convince someone to partake in this with me (ideally a dancer who has dancer friends), IT’S GONNA GO DOWWNN.
Winter’s Love- Animal Collective; modern duo
Today- String Quartet cover the Smashing Pumpkins; ballet
Quequ’un M’a Dit- Carla Bruni; Vienesse waltz
I Put a Spell on You- Screamin Jay Hawkins; character jazz.
jason mraz wants to perform with jeanine and jason!
this would be so excellent.
